Eyebrow Treatment

What is Permanent Makeup?

Permanent makeup (“PMU”) is a form of cosmetic tattooing that involves the process of implanting color pigment just below the epidermis of the skin. PMU produces the look of makeup to enhance and define the natural features of the face. PMU is very versatile and customizable because each service is custom designed for each client based on their personal beauty preference, skin type, skin tone, face shape, etc.

The most common form of Micropigmentation is Semi Permanent Makeup, followed by Medical Micropigmentation and Hair & Scalp Micropigmentation. Semi-permanent makeup, also known as cosmetic tattooing, uses micropigmentation to implant pigments to mimic makeup in the popular areas of the face. Treatments include eyebrows, eyeliner, lip liner, lip color and lip blush.

Eyebrows are enhanced and reshaped or repaired. Eyeliner is applied as either a very subtle lash line or varying thicknesses depending on the individual’s request. Lips can be redefined and given the illusion of a fuller look. Eyebrow procedures range from individual hair strokes for a very natural look to a dusting shadow powder effect

What is Microblading?

Also known as Brow Embroidery, Feathering, and Micro-Strokes. Microblading is an art which allows the design and crafting of simulated precision perfect hair strokes and subtle volumized coverage to existing brows, using fine deposits of cosmetic grade pigments which are manually implanted into the dermal layer (upper reticular layer) of the skin.In essence it’s a highly skilled manual process of cosmetic tattooing, which uses a specially designed handheld Microblade and uniquely engineered needles to create fine strokes which penetrate the skin. The results are soft and natural and will give you a chance to decide whether cosmetic tattoo is for you before considering longer term options. Microblading is still a very popular and sought-after treatment and makes an excellent introduction to Permanent Makeup. It is a great option for those who have very little eyebrow hair or those wanting to fill gaps.

Ombre Powder Brows

MACHINE SHADING (“AKA” POWDER BROWS)

Machine Shading is by no means a solid color, but a soft and powdery finish. This method uses stipples rather than strokes to fill the brow area. Perfect for all skin types and clients who have some level of hair looking for a gentle base color, more definition or structure. This technique can be adjusted to achieve a nature result or more make up finish. Powder Brows are best for ....Anyone who wants to lightly fill out the brows they already have. However, OMBRE POWDER is a permanent eyebrow procedure that produces the look of shaded brows that is darker at the tails and lighter at the front. The Ombre Powder technique gives a gradient powdered effect that is misty in the front. This allows the brows to be individually customized to be soft and natural or bold and defined, like a filled-in makeup look.Unlike traditional brow tattoos that can be harsh and blocky, Ombre Powder brows produce more realistic-looking results due to its soft, misty fronts. The effects will be waterproofed, smudge-proof, and sweat-proof brows that are beautiful and realistic.

Combination/ Hybrid Brows

CAN'T DECIDE? LET'S MIX AND MATCH

The Combination brow combines hyper realistic strokes and a powder finish to create focus on area throughout the brow requiring more detailed work. This style is perfect for those who want to fully reconstruct, define, cover gaps, or create a 3d Hybrid brow. Combination allows the artist to tailor the design and technique for a flawless and long lasting finish. Results can be natural or more defined as required. Microshading is best for ....Anyone who wants brows to look more "done" (i.e., thick and filled in).

WHY GET PMU?

There are many reasons to get permanent makeup. Some of the most common reasons include:

  • Getting ready in the morning takes less time.

  • It eliminates the hassle of applying makeup. PMU is most popular among busy individuals and professionals (moms, healthcare professionals, etc.) who lack the time to do their makeup repeatedly.

  • PMU doesn’t smear or wash away during warm weather conditions, warm vacations or during water activities.

  • PMU is great for those who regularly enjoy working out, swimming, biking, camping or other active/outdoor activities without wanting to be concerned about their eyebrows or makeup coming off. PMU can give you the personal freedom you need to enjoy such activities without worrying about your appearance.

  • It’s great for people who might be allergic to traditional makeup/dyes.

Some other reasons to get PMU may be due to a medical condition, a trauma or it could be to improve appearances that have changed due to aging.

  • PMU is great for those suffering from physical issues such as hair loss, discoloration of lips, etc.

  • It is a great solution for those who have unsteady hands or bad vision and are unable to apply makeup the way they want

  • Camouflaging or improving the appearance of scars, skin trauma, post-surgery procedures, etc.

This would be diving into the world of paramedical tattooing which involves the process of improving the appearance or camouflaging skin trauma and scars or even the results of medical conditions and skin diseases.

PMU/Brow Procedure Overview

THE CONSULTATION

We would recommend that the client is seen for a preliminary consultation prior to starting the procedure. This time should be spent listening to what the client wants to achieve and for your technician to decide firstly whether the client is a suitable candidate for treatment and whether your technician believe that successfully manage the client’s expectations and that what they desire is appropriate. If there is any chance that the outcome of the treatment is not an improvement, we would never recommend carrying out the procedure.

Allow up to 45 minutes in your initial appointment to discuss the following topics. INCLUDE PATCH TEST

BROW MAPPING / PRE-DRAWING

The right eyebrow shape can make a miraculous change to your face. The shape of the eyebrow is calculated according to facial morphology and proportions. Facial measurements are taken, and brows are designed in accordance with gender, face shape, eye shape, natural hair growth, ethnicity, and trends. We love feedback and will not continue to the next step until you approve the design phase.

COLOR SELECTION

We pick a few colors that will compliment the client’s complexion and natural hair growth. We can show you a few samples on your forehead an modify the pigment to ensure it heals true to your expectations. Bring your brow pencil in to guide us how you liked them filled. P.S. We never use straight BLACK!!

WHICH TECHNIQUE?

We know what is best for client's skin type to obtain long lasting, flawless results. No matter what technique you choose we can make it look natural. We will get you to select from our style guide the perfect mix of strokes and shading, so YOU know EXACTLY what you’re getting.

PROCEDURE

Upon arrival of the client, We have our client fill out consent forms, release forms, and any necessary medical history forms before beginning any consultation, pre-drawing or procedural steps. Clients should fill in all of the necessary information. The overall procedure time takes about 2 ~ 3 hours depending on which treatment you are receiving, including consultation, anesthesia time, and post appointment debriefing.

POST APPOINTMENT DEBRIEFING
The technician thoroughly go over “what to expect” and the “aftercare” with the client after the  procedure is finished providing clients with an aftercare instruction sheet, A&D ointment and lip wands. Your technician explain about the touch up appointment and set it up if you are ready to book it. Make sure you don’t have any questions before you leave.

RETOUCH

The client will be required to return after 4-8 weeks (depending on the treatment method) to complete the process, otherwise known as their retouch. The process will not necessarily be finished until the client has had this retouch, as some skins will not sufficiently retain the pigment from the initial session. Moreover, it is advisable to start off ‘lighter’ in the first treatment as it is much easier to intensify and add to the color in the second treatment than to remove a color that is too dark for the client. Any minor shape changes or additions can be made at this stage. Some clients may even need 2 retouches, although this is not common.

ANNUAL RETOUCH

To keep the color looking fresh and fabulous, we would suggest that on average, our clients return every 12 months for a yearly retouch, but if it is correctional/medical work that has been carried out, this time may vary. Even though Micro-pigmentation is referred to as form of specialist tattooing, there is a significant key difference from conventional tattooing, that being the implantation of color into the skin at a greater depth in the conventional which means tattoos do not fade to the same degree.
